A bit about me

I am a North-West (UK) based Fine Artist and Illustrator working predominantly with paint and mixed media. Now 25, I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University after studying BA Illustration with Animation in 2024. My practice centres on feminine empowerment and the concept of women unapologetically taking up space. Recurring themes in my work include powerful feminine figures, bold use of colour, texture, and contrast. While I love experimenting, I’m most drawn to acrylic, oil paints, and watercolour layered with coloured pencils. My sketchbooks house much of my illustrative and developmental work, but I especially enjoy working on large canvases where I can channel physical energy into my art.

For me, the creative process is more important than the final outcome. Focusing on the journey has helped ease the pressure of producing art and deepened my connection to my work, becoming an essential part of my healing and growth. As a neurodivergent woman, I often struggle to process my big and volatile emotions, but painting helps me to understand these feelings. My practice has become a way for me to work through life experiences and channel them into something that brings a bit of calm beauty into what often feels like an overwhelming world. My art aims to connect emotionally with others, while remaining open to interpretation, allowing viewers to take from it what they need.
