My sketchbooks are home to everything from quick doodles and painting concepts to life drawing studies and experimental work with paint and pastels. Many of my larger paintings began as loose sketches or pose ideas developed within these pages, some of which evolved into finished pieces that I now offer as prints in my shop.

You’ll find a mix of sketches, painted studies, pastel work, and even bits of poetry throughout. Over time, I’ve gravitated toward using larger sketchbooks, many of them A3, as they give me the same sense of freedom and fluidity that I enjoy when working on large-scale paintings, as well as more space to experiment and refine ideas.
